General Information
| |
Welcome
to the home page of the Central European Seminar on Computer Graphics
(CESCG). The seminar presents a special and unique opportunity for students,
who are interested in computer graphics, to participate in an international
event quite similar to a conference. CESCG is organized as cooperation of
several computer graphics groups in Central Europe.
Aims and Scope of CESCG
The
main idea of CESCG is to bring undergraduate students, who are interested
in computer graphics, together across borders of universities and countries.
The seminar is also intended to be an international event, where students can
present their excellent work to other students. Participating students are
studying computer science for at least five or six semesters, thus expertise
in giving a talk is fortunately a present qualification, which guarantees a
lot of high-quality presentations.
Of
course the overall topic of the CESCG is computer graphics. Specifically
the following fields are covered by the seminar:
- Virtual reality
- Scientific visualization
- Rendering and global illumination
- Animation, multimedia, and internet technologies

Organization
| |
CESCG is an annual
event for students, which is organized in cooperation of the Institute
of Computer Graphics and Algorithms at Vienna University of Technology, and the
Faculty of Mathematics, Physics, and Informatics
at Comenius University in Bratislava. Student works of all
participating groups are presented on three consecutive days at
Budmerice castle in the vicinity of Slovak captial Bratislava.
Seminar language is English.
For further details see CESCG organizational
notes.

CESCG
contributions are avaliable via world wide web, i.e., students
prepare their work in a form that allows electronic publication
(LaTeX/Postscript/PDF, HTML). Printed versions of the documents are provided as
low-cost
hand-outs for the participants during the seminar.
See the CESCG proceedings page for a collection
of CESCG proceedings.
