Organizers

CESCG is organized once a year in cooperation of the Institute of Computer Graphis and Algorithms in Vienna and the Faculty of Mathematics, Physics, and Informatics at Comenius University in Bratislava. It is a student seminar which is held on three consecutive days in spring time in Budmerice, Slovakia. Students have enough time to arrive in time in Budmerice on the first day. As the seminar lasts for three days, seminar participants stay at the venue overnight at least twice. Each evening of the seminar ends with a social program. The seminar continues in the morning of the third day. In the afternoon CESCG participants leave Budmerice.

Participation

Cooperating groups are invited to send participants to the seminar. As a reply to the `Call for Participation' local organizers inform Vienna and Bratislava about the number of expected participating students. Since lots of groups are invited to participate and the time for talks is restricted, the initial number of participants per location is 2. If some location does not want to participate, its share of students can be distributed among the others.

Important Dates

Due to the different semester structures of participating universities early communication and coordination of CESCG is very important. A rough schedule shows all important dates relative to the start of the actual semester:

Mid/End of September, the year before CESCG:
Invitation eMail. Just a reminder for those who would participate.
End of October, the year before CESCG:
Call for participation. Invited groups should check whether they intend to prepare/send students to the seminar and announce the number of potential participants to the organizers.
Beginning of December, the year before CESCG
Deadline for eMail announcements of participation. If you want to participate, do not miss this deadline, even if you do not know the names of the students yet.
End of December, the year before CESCG
Preliminary program of CESCG. Sessions and slots for talks are assigned.
Beginning of February
Reviewing Submission Deadline. First submission of papers for reviewing purpose.
End of February
Review notification for authors.
Beginning of March
Final submission deadline for contributions.
End of March
Final programme will be announced.
Beginning of April
Registration deadline.
Shortly after Easter
Three consecutive days of seminar.

Finding CESCG in Budmerice

Budmerice is located in the west of Slovakia, quite near to its capital Bratislava, which itself is located right at the border to Austria - Bratislava can be reached from various destinations, for example, from Vienna by train, bus, or car, etc.

Travelling by car, there are two possibilities to get to Budmerice (from Bratislava): one is to take highway D61 towards Zilina, turn left after Senec (off the highway, towards Trnava), and proceeding to Budmerice; another possibility is to go directly to Pezinok (from Bratislava), then to Modra, and finally (right turn after Modra) to Budmerice. When coming from Modra there is a long alley (on the left side) right before Budmerice. The alley leads to the manor.

Traveling by bus (from Bratislava), the bus proceeds further to the village and stops behind a large right turn. Get off the bus and get back to the alley. Below there is a small map of Budmerice and surroundings:
